This page gives you an insight into what we do and what we pride ourselves on here at Tall Trees. Starting as a small yard looking for our own horses we are very selective in the horses we buy, you do not have to have to spend a fortune to enjoy and have the pleasure of owning a racehorse. On here we give you an idea of the horses we have bought, what they have done and the success they have been. Not only do we feel we can be of assistance finding horses, we have a very good track record for rejuvenating horses that have come from other yards and horses that have badly lost their way. CASTLEMORRIS KING (NH)

5 time hurdle WINNER & 10 time placed rated 132 over hurdles

MANS NOT TROT (FLAT)

Purchased after being withdrawn at the start on his latest start for being lame WINS ON DEBUT FOR US just 3 weeks later. A £3,500 purchase, he repaid that in one run. A young, progressive horse that will win more races.

 

HOKE COLBURN (NH)

Purchased for £3,500 at July Ascot sale after badly losing his form for Harry Wittington, since then (Nov 18) he has placed twice and now WON HIS LAST TWO over fences, already amassing over £10,000 in prize money alone and now having a career high mark, all in the space of 4 months.

 

MY BROTHER SYLVEST (NH)

Purchased for £3,500 after losing his way at David Pipes, winner first time out for us and a very close second the next time, already won his purchase price back in two runs!

 

MAJORETTE (FLAT)

Purchased privately for just £5,000 out of work she has now WON TWICE and placed a further 5 times all in the space of 12 months over 5f & 6f.

 

CLEARLY CAPABLE (NH)

Bought privately for £7,500 from Ireland, having never even placed under rules before from many starts he was a WINNER FIRST TIME OUT FOR US, on his stable debut looking very impressive, then he soon followed up with another WIN and placed effort before his winter break.

 

BLAINE (FLAT)

To show how much horses improve when joining us Blaine had not won for a year, had not won after a break since he made his debut at 2 and had not won of a mark as high since 2014 (May '17 now). Off 7 months, BOLTS UP FIRST TIME FOR US ON HIS STABLE DEBUT under FRANKIE DETTORI at Newbury winning a 30k handicap.

 

BOHEMIAN RHAPSODY (DUAL)

Had not been sighted in the last year, on both the flat and over hurdles, finishing last in his last 5 runs. Finishes a close second on debut for the yard after only being here a month. Will improve fitness & confidence for next time......***UPDATE***has now placed a further four times both on the flat and over hurdles!

 

FOLLOW THE TRACKS (NH)

2 time hurdle WINNER & 5 time placed

GEORGE NYMPTON (NH)

WINNER first time for us after a years absence from the winners enclosure plus a solid 2nd in course record time at Southwell.

£2,600 purchase.

 

MIGHTY MISSILE (NH)

Having badly lost his form for Warren Greatrex he was bought privately for £4,000, from 10 starts so far with us he has been in the placings 6 times WINNING A £10,000 HANDICAP.

 

MOWHOOB (FLAT)

Bought privately from David Nicholls for £2,000 after a little bit of time regaining his confidence with the stalls his recent form figures read 4510223 WINNING a handicap at Chelmsford.

 

NORFOLK SKY (NH)

Two time hurdle winner & placed three times including in LISTED novice hurdle at CHELTENHAM.

SKY WATCH (NH)

Placed in first five of his six runs for us, having lost his form for his previous yard.
