Winter in August and the week ahead...

Wow, today we have had an unreal amount of rain, I think most of the country has actually, a typical bank holiday! There has been no break in it and we all got pretty wet riding out, waterproof sheets on in August, whatever next! but to be honest we are delighted to see it as we have two entered at Worcester on Wednesday and both want slower ground. As long as the deluge reached Worcester then they will both run, fingers crossed. It will be their first start for us and they will both benefit from the run, although they are working well at home! Madam Be is only a baby and will be having her first bumper outing but we think an awful lot of her, she stays all day and likes the mud so hopefully we can look forward to a prosperous winter campaign! Gavin Sheehan will be riding her. In The Crowd has a lot of ability and needed a bit of fixing when we got him but hes in brilliant form now and looks a picture, hopefully he will run well enough as we think he will make a smashing chaser. Young David will ride him and it will also be his first ride for us, best of luck to them both!

We also have Madam Be entered back at Worcester for Sunday if the ground will be slower by then, if not and we get some good ground back then Castlemorris King is also entered up there, he is top rated in the 0-140 hurdle over 2m. Gavin will be back on board Morris who he has done very well with before.

Today is the first day we are eligable to enter horses for the flat, unfortuately we don't have anything just yet but all going well Norfolk Sky will be our first runner on the level a week on Saturday at Kempton, going back for course and distance when she last won on the flat back in January.

Thats it for the update, all the horses are in good form, as are the rest of the team, two of which did the ALS Ice bucket challenge in the week....very amusing but all for a good cause.
