Veauce De Sivola was one of the first horses sent to us from the Singh Brothers along with Katiebyrne back this time last year. When 'Big Johnny' (Veauce de Sivola) came he was a nervous wreck, to walk in the stable he would rush to the back of the stable and if you tried to touch him he would shake and jump, and to get a bridle on him or give him a brush, well that was hard work! He needed a break when he came to us as he had been on the go for a long time with Mark Gillard so after a couple of runs he had the summer in the feild, and he came back in such a different horse, after lots of effort from everyone he is now a pretty confident chap! He loves life, is a gentleman to do and deserved to break his maiden over fences so it was to everyones sheer delight when he galloped them into the ground and put in an excellent round of jumping to win at Lingfield last week. Not only was it great to get Johnny to win, it was also Mitchs first ride as a conditional, what a way to start! Delighted to give Mitch his first winner and he gave him a great ride. More importantly it was even better to get our first winner for John Singh and his brother Dil Singh Rathore, they have been very loyal supporters of ours for the last year or so and also very much deserved a winner, hopefully we can now crack on and get many more, they have several with us now, and I am sure we will have a great summer. Big Johnny has a few entries in the coming week, but unfortunately the ground is starting to turn against him, the heavier the better so fingers crossed for a little more rain!
Mitch has now had three winners since turning conditional, he could not have imagined it to have gone any better, hopefully he keeps his feet firmly on the ground and he can keep kicking them in!
Three runners at Chelmsford last weekend, Mowhoob back at his favourite track ran an absolute blinder, unfortunately the photo finish didnt go his way this time, just being caught on the line and beaten a nose! Still a great effort and he has now won us all some nice bets! He has certainly paid for himself! Toolatetodelegate was having her last run for a mark, her best run yet to finish a staying on third, a great effort, both also winning best turned out for Dayna! Rocket Ronnie was the last runner and although a bit keen early he ran well enough and finished fourth. He isnt really an all weather horse but will make his mark when the turf season starts for sure.
A few new horses have arrived since our last blog, a Lord Shanakill 3yr old unraced gelding, sent by Market Avenue Racing Ltd, great to have a second one for them, their other Major Cadeaux filly is going really nicely and has taken everything in her stride, she looks a nice prospect. Next we got Sir Lancelott, a strapping big horse that is already a 4 time winner on the flat, he is fit and ready to run, he will be winning within his next three runs, he is for sale so do get in touch, and he is great value at only £5000. Last but not least another new horse is arriving from Ireland today, Clearly Capable, a nice handicapper over jumps, he will be fun through the summer months for sure. Also for sale!!
Some of you may remember Madam Be, a lovely mare but she did suffer from a few niggly problems but is now at stud and will hopefully have a foal at foot this time next year. Our old stable star Norfolk Sky is not far behind her and will be visiting Cityscape next week! Exciting times!
Thats all for now, do get in touch if there is anything that may interest you!
All the best....
