Winter seems to have really kicked in now, most mornings have been very white and crispy although when the sun starts to break through there really could be no better job!
We have had a few runners in the last week or so, Green Du Ciel ran back at Lingfield in another amateurs race with Hattie on board, he ran another solid race finishing 5th. Those two runs have now put him spot on to go jumping for the rest of the season. Hopefully he will head to Exeter on Thursday.
Madam Be headed to Wincanton last week, although taking on an odds on shot, we were very confident she would put up a bold show, unfortunately she ran a shocker, and finished towards the back. Very strange for such a game and consistent mare, so we had her scoped, had her bloods done and nothing showed. So then we called in John Hankinson to have a look at her, we were very hopeful he would find an answer, which he did. Hes put her right and we should see her back in her normal form soon!
In The Crowd went to Leicester on Wednesday, a trip that is a little short for him but he was in good form and we though as the ground was officially soft he would run well. He ran another cracker to finish 3rd! Although the ground was no where near as described, more like good/good to soft. His last 7 runs before we got him he had hardly beaten another rival, he has now had 6 runs for us and been placed 4 times, something we are very proud of here. He will be winning shortly!
Follow The Tracks will be heading to either Exeter or Towcester this week, not quite sure where, stepping up in trip, he will come on again for the run but he is in great form and we look forward to it.
I shall update again later in the week after the runners....
