After Doncaster sales last week we were delighted to welcome Martys Magic to the yard, he is currently for sale to stay in the yard and after speaking to Denis O Regan the other day (he rode him last time) who says he is a machine and will be a very smart horse in time we can't wait untill he runs, hopefully by then he will have found some lovely new owners aswell!
We had a couple of runners over the weekend, Norfolk Sky ran on Sunday at Fontwell, with Dave Prichard on board, we were quite hopeful but things didnt quite go to plan and she finished a running on 6th. She had a hard enough race and is enjoying a week in the field which she is loving. She will run on the flat next all being well.
In The Crowd ran on Monday at Newton Abbot with Gavin riding, he was back in a handcap off a high enough weight, he ran well for a long way but Gavin came back and said he hated the ground and needs it softer, a more galloping track would also suit, although he assures us there are plenty of races to be won with him so hopefully he can build on that now when we find him his conditions.
All is very busy here at Tall Trees at the minute, James has just finished installing state of the art electric front gates and new fencing, all looking very smart and the security is now very good, which is obviously massively important. He is now putting in a new concrete base for our new horse walker that is going in, big enough for 5 horses with a roof so it can be used in all weathers!
All the horses are in cracking form, Madam Be has come on so much from her first run and is bouncing, Castlemorris King is in great form as per usual and will hopefully be our first flat runner on Sunday at Ffos las, Cam Hardie will ride him. Very excited! I shall update again after then, so fingers crossed!
