So I hope you all had a brilliant New Year and remember as much of it as you can, we wish all of you the very best and plenty of success for the year ahead!

We had three runners last week,

In The Crowd and Green Du Ciel both ran in the same race at Taunton. With a 17 strong field of hardened handicappers we were hoping for a good show from both of them, Gavin Sheehan was on board Green du Ciel at 40-1 and Harry Bannister on In The Crowd at 20-1. Turning in it looked like it was going to be a 1,2! To their credit they both stuck to their guns and battled all the way to the line. In The Crowd was only beaten a neck into second, while Green du Ciel was only 7l behind in fourth. Delighted that In The Crowd got into a battle and tried hard, he has now run 7 times for us and been placed 5! If you look at his form before we brought him its quite impressive to see how his form has turned around. Green du Ciel ran a cracker to finish 4th, Gavin was delighted with him and there will be races to be won with him.

Follow The Tracks headed to Exeter on Thursday where we were delighted to get the services of A P McCoy, although neither of them seemed on their best form, they ran well and finished 4th, beating the winner of his last race and getting placed again!

All runners came out of their races in good form and have spent the last few days in the field.

In The Crowd and Follow The Tracks both run for the 'Brian Barr Racing Club', the club has now had 7 runners and 6 have been placed!! not a bad effort, please contact us if you would like to be a part of the club!

We are delighted to have welcomed another new arrival to Tall Trees, a strapping 3yr old colt by Piccolo. He was sent over from Ireland on Saturday night and arrived Sunday morning. His picture will be up soon, and you will all be impressed! He will be making his debut in the coming weeks. We feel very proud that we have been noticed by so far away, his owner has several horses and some very nice youngstock back in Ireland.

The New Year seems to have started well!

Also very pleased to announce that Georgie has now passed her driving test after much nagging for her to take it, she is now an independant woman!

We are very busy now and will be looking for a new member of staff at the end of the month, please contact Daisy if you may be interested.

Plenty of runners coming up over the next couple of weeks, I shall keep you posted!
