Delighted to be able to update with more positive news for the yard, more arrivals and horses in great order, exactly what we like!!

Byron Blue came to us from Mr Gillard down the road from us, and to be fair he was a bit of a head wreck, we were told he was dangerous and very, very difficult to ride and manage. He was! I am sure if you all have a quick look at his form you will see, every time he would go flat out from the front and jump violently out to the left and then fall in a heap with 2 to jump, he was leading grade 2's and running in races he couldnt possibly win, this was something we had to change. After a lot of hard work, time and effort from the whole team he is now very different. He is ridden every day by Jess, who dotes on him and does a fantastic job of settling him and keeping him relaxed, with him and My Brother Sylvest she does have a bit of a challenge on her hands for sure! He made his debut for us at Worcester a couple of weeks ago, in a very competitive handicap hurdle, Mikey on board who also rode him for Mr Gillard was in a state of shock when I told him to drop him out last and take his time, it was a confidence booster for him, expecting him to finish in the first 6 we would have been happy. Well turning in he came widest of all and flew home on just to be denied by a young, improving horse. It was a massive effort form him and we were so pleased for him to actually finish his race like he did. He then headed to Newton Abbot last week where we were quietly confident he would go close, again under a hold up ride he came storming home but couldnt get the splits earlier and met a lot of trouble and finished a fast finishing third, three strides after the line he was in front. Again a great effort with joint top weight, and he is only a pony! I would imagine he will head to Cheltenham next for the Showcase meeting where I am sure he will once again try his very best!

Moulin Rouge was another to make her debut for the yard at Newton Abbot, having won three times on the flat she has ability and in a big field handicap we were sure she would run well, but it was further than she normally runs over and softer ground which she hadnt run on before. With a horse of Gary Moores slipping at the start and coming down she was very nearly brought down and was hampered very badly so she was shuffled to the very back, so it was a super effort from her to come through to finish a clear second, a great run for her owner Mr Aplin, who would love to get a winner at Newton Abbot before the season is out, so that is what we will endeavour to do!!

We have two very smart yearlings in now, both for sale, both lovely, strong, early types that I am sure will excel in their two year old seasons. They are currently being broken in and are being very well behaved!

We currently have shares available in a really smart 2yr old filly by Delegator. Everyone can see what a fantastic first season Delegator has had with his two year olds, already having a group winner and winning the big sales race at Newmarket at the weekend we feel she has a massive future. She is broken and cantering, with a very willing attitude she is showing everything you could ask for. She would be the biggest and strongest of our winter 2yr olds and I think she will make a smashing 3yr old. She is already a sister to two winners, winning 20 races between them! She is for sale on Racehorse Trader or give myself or Daisy a call to find out more.

5% for £325 + £70 a month

10% for £650 + £140 a month

Do not miss out on this filly, she is a great prospect!

Lots of runners in the next week so hopefully a good blog next week! We have now started to look through the HIT sales at Newmarket at the end of the month, we are heading there with orders for current owners and we will also be available to view and discuss with any potential new clients so do get in touch to chat further.
