Well, we have been very busy this last week with an even busier week ahead. On Wednesday we had In The Crowd running at Worcester having his first start for us and his first start for ten months after some very poor efforts for his last yard. We were not completely sure what to expect as he is a lovely big horse that does his work well and was very fresh going into his race, but after his problems we just wanted to make sure he still enjoys the game.....and so he proved he really does enjoy it after all!! A very promising 3rd, beaten only 6 lengths. He will come on a bundle and David ensured there are plenty of races to be won with him. He has come out of the race in great form and we look forward to his next run. He is currently for sale, and also part of the racing club, which anyone can join for minimal costs. Check out our ownership page or contact Brian or Daisy for more info.

David was in riding out on Friday morning, we kept him very busy and he gave Castlemorris King, Madam Be, Shanandoa a pop over the hurdles and he also popped Norfolk Sky through the stalls, just to give her a quick reminder, not that she needed it as he had trouble pulling her up!!

Shanandoa's jumping is coming on very nicely, we are still not sure of the route to take with her, she will be ready before the 3yr old bumpers start so it will either be a maiden on the flat or a juvenile hurdle, but shes looking like shes going to be quite smart!

Then we had Sunday at Worcester with two runners, Castlemorris King in the big handicap and Madam Be in the bumper. Madam Be was having her first run for us, and her first run under rules, and what a brilliant run it was, she was a gallant 2nd, beaten only 1 1/4 lengths by a very smart filly of Gordon Elliots over from Ireland that had already won a bumper. Gavin came back and said shes a lovely filly that could be very good, and will be winning soon. The ground was plenty quick enough and she would prefer a stronger gallop, so we were delighted!! She was fresh and well out in the field this morning chasing Follow The Tracks round and round!

Castlemorris King ran his usual solid race, off nearly top weight he was 3rd, beaten only 1 3/4 lengths. He really is a legend that doesnt know how to run a bad race. Gavin said if he had met the last on a good stride he would have been bang there. His next start will now be on the flat which we are looking forward to, he also had a nice day in the field.

It was family fun day at Worcester yesterday so we had some fun there too as you can see from the pics, Catriona was practising her riding and she and Daisy also had a sit on Denman and Kauto!!!

Catriona showing everyone how its done!

Daisy and Catriona getting a great spin!

Morris enjoying his chill out time!

Thats it for now, I will update in a couple of days, we are off to Doncaster sales Wednesday-Thursday looking for a new star!
